TW-anchors
The POOLŽ-TW anchor is one of the most well-known and respected High Holding Power anchors. Its large flat flukes are made of high tensile steel plate material, with the extreme points and the inner edges sharpened to enable the anchor to dig in easily.
The POOLŽ-TW anchor is available in standard and fully balanced versions.

New TWM-anchor
In addition to the original POOLŽ-TW anchor, SEC Groningen has recently introduced the POOLŽ-TWM anchor. This has extra features that allow it to cope with even harsher anchoring conditions, including:
- Side skirts on the flukes take away high strains on the welds
- The shaft has a double lay up, taking away stresses on the anchor head bolt during anchoring
- A re-positioned stopper plate reduces anchor movement when the anchor is in stowed position
This new anchor has been granted a Dutch patent and also the European patent. Lloyd's Register, American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, RINA and Det Norkse Veritas have all given type approval.
